Not all iron tablets are equal. Formulation affects constipation, nausea, and how much elemental iron you absorb. Work with your clinician on dose and duration.
Many people take iron every other day or with vitamin C to improve tolerance. Avoid taking iron with calcium, coffee, or tea close together — they can reduce absorption.
