Ice craving (pica) and iron deficiency
Chewing ice (pagophagia) is a well-known pattern some people report when iron stores are low. Not everyone with ice craving has deficiency, but ferritin testing is reasonable when other symptoms align.

Mention ice craving, fatigue, heavy periods, or hair changes together. Pica can also relate to other conditions, so labs help clarify whether iron replacement is appropriate.
